Why Limited Edition Anuved Chandanam soap with Mahakumbh Jal is so Special & Pavitra?
‘तुलसीदास चंदन घिसे तिलक करे रघुवीर’ (Tulsidas Chandan ghise Tilak kare Raghuveer) - Chopai from Ramcharitmanas conveys the significance of Chandan in Hindu puja and rituals. As per Vedas, its calming properties have a significant effect on the third eye (Ajna Chakra). Limited Edition Anuved Chandanam is not only infused with real Sandalwood oil but also enriched with Mahakumbh Triveni Sangam Jal which enhances the divine bath experience by manifolds. These sacred ingredients are infused in the pure soap base while chanting mantras, thereby energizing the soap too!
Embrace Anuved Chandanam soap to feel the Magic of the Divine, while soothing and calming your sensitive skin too.

Brand Story as narrated by Mr. Raakesh Bansal - the founder himself!
After completing my education at IIT and IIM, my first job was in manufacturing at Godrej Soaps, where I learned the intricacies of soap production. In 1996, with the support of an ex-colleague, I ventured into my own business through contract manufacturing for a reputed brand. To start the business, I pawned my wife’s jewellery, leased an unused factory from a friend on a profit-sharing basis, and began my journey in the soap industry.
About 25 years ago, in the year 1999, I launched my own brand, Anura (Based on my wife, my daughters’ and my name), but quickly realized we couldn’t compete with major soap giants on price alone. Inspired by the puja rituals during Satyanarayan puja in Ganpati festival followed by Dussehra, I envisioned creating a unique bath soap infused with Panchamrut, a blend of 5 sacred nectars used in Hindu rituals, allowing devotees to purify themselves before their daily puja/temple visit/festival.
This idea of using wisdom from our Vedas and Indian traditions led to renaming of Anura as ANUVED.
Inspired by our Indian culture and Vedas, I committed myself to producing premium-quality soaps, using the best quality soap base with 80% TFM, herbs in their natural forms, and pure and pavitra ingredients including Gangajal directly sourced from Rishikesh! My elder daughter, Anumeha, who worked in an advertising firm, joined hands with me and played a crucial role in building ANUVED brand's visibility. When she relocated to the USA, my wife, Anuradha, took over as CEO.
Driven by the desire to create more variants that embody purity and pavitrata, I developed soaps like Anuved Vibhuti (by using ashes from Arya samaj havans), Ashtagandha (8 medicinal herbs associated with Lord Krishna), Kewda Durva (Ganeshji’s offerings), Dugdha Kesar (offered to deities at many temples across India) and others, each with ingredients rooted in spiritual significance as per our Indian traditions and Vedas. My customers’ expectations pushed me to innovate continually, leading to a range of soaps that reflect our rich cultural traditions.
From converting spaces in my home into an office and a godown, to loading and delivering soaps in my own car, to standing at the soap counter at Apna Bazar Vashi, to facing scepticism about my product’s purity, to my own mother questioning how I’d earn a living with such a long-lasting soap priced so reasonably, the journey has been challenging.
However, my customers’ appreciation and repeated orders have only reinforced my commitment to spread the unique experience of a shuddha and pavitra snan inspired by our rich Indian Culture and Vedic wisdom. Today, my vision stands strong, powered by the strength and support of the women in my life—first Anumeha, then Anuradha, and now my younger daughter, Anupama, who is ready to take the baton forward! Anuved is proudly a family owned brand. :)
